Sequencing Rates
Please note: We are introducing this service as quickly as possible. What this means is that the prices below are subject to approval; thus they are provisional and could change. Prices are provided to facilitate the planning of projects for grant applications, etc. Also, please note that although we are trying to set our prices as low as possible for on-campus customers, this is nevertheless an expensive service. Early users of the service may be billed up to 4 months after the services are rendered depending upon the date of official price approvals. Thus, PIs must plan accordingly and set aside funds such that they are available at the time of billing.

Pricing Policy for Sequencing
- Prices are per lane and include cluster generation, sequencing run, base calls, and quality control.
- To minimize costs for researchers, pricing per lane is based upon full occupancy of the flow cell (8 lanes) per sequencing run. As indicated on the introduction page, researchers are responsible for the costs and the preparation of libraries for sequencing.

General Charges
- Sequence/Quality Control: no cost
- Online genome browser support: standard hourly rate (see below)
- Web BLAST server support: standard hourly rate (see below)
Custom Data Analysis for UCR Customers
- Projects requiring <40 hours labor: $24/hr
- Projects requiring 40-80 hours labor: $18/hr
- Projects requiring >80 hours labor: $12/hr
Custom Data Analysis for External Academic Institutions (*subject to changes)
- Projects requiring <40 hours labor: ~$80/hr*
- Projects requiring 40-80 hours labor: ~$65/hr*
- Projects requiring >80 hours labor: ~$45/hr*
